Kingsbridge Coast & Country lies at the heart of Southernmost Devon.  Kingsridge is an historic market town located at the head of a unique tidal estuary, unique because there is no river, but a series of rias, or flooded valleys. The estuary is both an SSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and a Local Nature Reserve.

The surrounding countryside is a rolling landscape of patchwork fields that never fails to charm all who live or visit here. It is why our area is known as the South Hams, an old English word, ‘hamme’, meaning an enclosed or sheltered place. In dramatic contrast and only a few miles to the North are the wild moors and tors of Dartmoor National Park.

A wide choice of beaches, coves and creeks within easy reach. Miles of coastal paths stretching from Mothercombe in the West to Dartmouth in the East, with pretty coastal villages on route. Three further unspoilt estuaries, the Erme and Avon to the West, and the Dart to the East gives our coast line an appeal that is hard to match elsewhere.
