| Inner Hope was the original village. The old lifeboat house is at the head of the slipway in Inner Hope, sheltered from all but the north westerlies. There have been numerous shipwrecks around Hope Cove with vessels driven onto the terrible leeshore during westerly gales. | |||||||||||||||
